I started Ninth House because I wanted to use my skills as a poet and teacher to make a sustainable living doing what I love.

My artistic career has shown me that artists are skilled at building something from the ground up from limited resources, with courage and resilience. Living as an artist in an increasingly expensive economy gives artists a unique set of skills that are highly specialized and can be creatively monetized.
